get every arrow out!

Crazy Arrows

tap an arrow — if its way is clear, it flies

how to play

Arrow — straight or bent, one cell long or many. Tap it and it slides head-first the way its head points, the body following like a snake. If the way out is clear, it leaves the board. If another arrow is in the way, it bounces back and you lose a heart.

Fixed wall — one block or a bent wall of several; it never moves. An arrow that hits it turns 90° towards the way its chevrons point. Hit it head-on or from behind and the arrow is blocked.

Mirror — a single tile or a longer strip. It sends the arrow straight back the way it came, 180°.

Bomb — when an arrow hits it, it explodes and destroys everything touching the 3×3 square around it — whole arrows, walls and other bombs, which explode too.

Every puzzle is played through by the game before you see it, to make sure it can be won — and any wall, mirror or bomb that no arrow would ever touch is taken away, so every block on the board matters. Bombs can help, or destroy something an arrow needed.

questions & answers

How do you play Crazy Arrows?

Every arrow on the board — straight or bent — slides head-first the way its head points when you tap it, its body following like a snake. If nothing is in its way, it leaves the board. If another arrow blocks it, it bounces back and you lose a heart. Clear every arrow to win.

What do the blocks do?

A grey fixed wall — one block or a bent wall of several — cannot move and stops arrows; an arrow that hits it turns 90 degrees towards the direction its chevrons show. A mirror, a tile or a longer strip, sends the arrow straight back. A bomb explodes when an arrow hits it, destroying every arrow and wall touching the 3×3 square around it.

Is every puzzle possible?

Yes. Every board is built backwards from a solution, and before you see it the game plays it through to the end — blasts included — to prove it can be won. You can still trap yourself, for example by setting off a bomb that destroys a wall an arrow needed; then just restart.

Does every wall and mirror matter?

Yes. A wall, mirror or bomb that no arrow ever touches would only be decoration, so the game removes those before you play. Every block left on the board turns, sends back or blows up at least one arrow on the way to winning.

What is the difference between levels and challenges?

Levels are 30 fixed puzzles that get harder one by one, from 5×5 boards with short straight arrows to 9×9 boards with long bent arrows, walls, mirrors and bombs. A challenge is a brand-new random puzzle you can share as a link, so your friends play exactly the same board: Easy is 6×6, Medium 9×9 and Hard a 16×16 board built so that arrows depend on each other in long chains.

How does the leaderboard rank players?

Every level and every challenge has its own leaderboard. Fewest mistakes ranks first, then the fastest time, then the fewest taps. Using a hint adds 10 seconds to your time.

Is it free? Do I need an app?

It is free, works in the browser on any phone or computer, and needs no sign-up. Your level progress is saved in your browser.
